Follow this simple pranayma exercise to expand the chest, relax your breathing and increase your lung capacity.

Alternate nostril breathing is a yogic breath control practice. In Sanskrit, it’s known as nadi shodhana pranayama. This pranayama practice improves lung function, increases respiratory endurance, lowers stress, and improves cardiovascular function.

Ujjayi is one of the basic yogic pranayama or breathing techniques. It aids in strengthening your lungs and diaphragm, lengthens your breath, brings you into the present moment and can calm anxiety. Ujjayi breathing begins to warm and stability your body and can prepare you for practicing yoga movements in a safe manner.
